SPRING 2014
DROP / WITHDRAWAL DEADLINES
Attention Students,
Today will be the last day that a student can drop an individual class
for 100% refund for the 16 week Spring courses.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A "DROP" AND A "WITHDRAWAL"?
A "DROP" is dropping a single class, but remaining enrolled in at least
one other class. The drop form is located at:
http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/documents/2012DropForm.pdf.
The DROP deadlines for Spring are:
Drop with 100% refund: January 29, 2014
Drop, no refund: March 28, 2014
A "WITHDRAWAL" is when you are only enrolled in a single class (or many
classes), needing to get out of the semester entirely, and will no
longer be enrolled. Once the semester has already begun, students
trying to drop all of their classes must obtain a Withdrawal Form and
fax (or deliver) to the Registrar's Office for processing. A
withdrawal only means you are withdrawing from the term (not the
University). The Withdrawal Form is located at:
http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/documents/WithdrawalForm.pdf.
The Drop and Withdrawal deadlines are posted under the Academic Calendar
at:
http://tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/academicCalendars/default.aspx.
If you are registered in a Fall sub-term that does not run the dates of
the Fall semester, your drop/withdrawal dates will differ. You can
either access the Academic Calendar for dates, or contact the
Registrar's Office.
Also, for any other questions regarding the drop/withdrawal process,
please call the Registrar's Office.
Thanks,
Andrea Potter
