Good morning Lions,
A few reminders about our university's QEP:
Who - Quality Enhancement Plan.
What - The QEP theme is "Preparing Students for an Interconnected
World."
When - The QEP proposed programs will begin in Fall 2014.
Where - Texas A&M University-Commerce, and all other campus sites.
How - The plan will be implemented using two key programs; Global
Scholar and Global Fellow. The Global Scholar program will be applicable
for all incoming, first-time, full-time freshmen. The Global Fellow
program will be applicable to all faculty. All campus faculty, staff,
and students will benefit from the experience of the proposed plan via
courses, events, and access to the ePortfolio tool.
Why - The purpose of the QEP is to enhance A&M-Commerce students'
learning experience. After much research and feedback, the Commerce
community regarded global awareness as a high priority for student
development. With our QEP theme, "Preparing Students for an
Interconnected World," we will be able to build global competence and
awareness in students, better preparing them for an interconnected
world.
