[Students] A Long Expected Party: the 75th Anniversary of the Publication of the Hobbit! Friday, 9-12, 1:00, Gee Library, 2nd floor

[Kim Jefferies]

Reminder:

A Long-expected Party!

When: 1:00, September 21, 2012

Where: Gee Library, 2nd Floor Lounge

Please come help the Department of Literature and Languages and Gee
Library celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the first publication of J. R.
R. Tolkien's The Hobbit on Friday, September 21, 1:00, Gee Library (2nd
Floor lounge).

There will of course, be refreshments for all, a display, a raffle, and
a talk by Dr. Robin Anne Reid on The Two Hobbits.

Note for SYPHERS members: The raffle is a fund-raising event for
SYPHERS.

There will be two HOBBIT calenders: one with art by Alan Lee and John
Howe, the other with movie photos (though that one is not out until
October 3, sigh).

I was thinking 50 cents for one ticket, three tickets for a dollar. We
have the big roll of raffle tickets from LEOCON, so why not use it.

So if Syphers could set up a table for the raffle and staff it, it would
be great.

We'll also need to get LEOCON 2013 flyers, and some SIGIL info!
