The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Texas A&M University-Commerce would like to go on record and officially give our statement as to why the NPHC Stepshow and Afterparty did not occur this year. We, as NPHC, would like to dispel all of the rumors and clarify what has occurred.

This year, NPHC went through a number of transitions, ranging from internal officers and leadership, to advisory changes. With that being said, the implementation of the show and the after party did not occur as planned, and instead of hosting an event that would not demonstrate the true caliber and excellence of NPHC programming, we as the Council opted not to put on the event as a whole. The decision to cancel the event was reached by the Council representatives and the Chapters, not by the Administration or the Office of Greek Life.

For Homecoming 2012, the plans are in place for the Stepshow and Afterparty to occur in the grand scale that NPHC is accustomed to. We would hope that the student body would support this exciting event next year and encourage you to support the various Chapter and NPHC events that will continue to occur throughout the academic year.

Sincerely,

The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Texas A&M University-Commerce
