Interested in Becoming a Tutor?
Come to an informational meeting.
 
Date: Friday, January 30th
Time: 2:00pm
Place: Field House in Room 203

The Athletic Department is looking for qualified tutors to enhance the
academic success of TAMU-C student athletes by supplying effective
facilitation in a manner that will improve academic skills while developing
mastery of subject material.  Student independence rather than tutor
dependence will be the emphasis of the Lions Learning Center tutorial
program.
 
General Requirements:
·     Tutors must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the subject matter
they will tutor
·     Demonstrate effective communication skills
·     Demonstrate the ability to work well with others and a diverse
population
·     Ability to model behavior of a successful college student
·     Ethical integrity by following the University, and Lion Success Center
policies at all times
·     Classified as a junior or higher
·     Must be willing to commit to an entire semester
·     Attend semester workshop and first semester training sessions
