SUBJECT:     Homecoming Week Events

 

  

 


Homecoming 2008 - "Feel the Pride," is quickly approaching, mark your
calendars for the festivities.  Homecoming is scheduled for the week of
October 27-31 with the culmination being Saturday, November 1.  As an
organization, we welcome you to plan activities during this time.
Historically, student organizations plan receptions and activities for
their visiting alumni.  We will print a brochure, which we will mail to
alumni, as well as distribute on campus and to the community.  The
deadline for getting your event on the brochure is September 17. Any
submission after September 17 may not be included in the distributed
publicity, but will be posted to the website. As usual, we are asking
for you to do the following:

 

*      Decide if your organization would like to host a reception,
breakfast, etc. for alumni.

*      Make arrangements, through Scheduling for a location (5809).

*      Make arrangements, through Sodexho for the refreshments or meal
(4890).

*      Return the attached form by September 17 to Alumni Relations, MSC
Room 120 (Front of MSC, next to football field), or by email to

 Stephanie_Peebles at tamu-commerce.edu. 

 

Remember that Tailgate events will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the football
game at 2:00 p.m. You may want to avoid planning functions between 11:00
a.m. and 5 p.m. because of these events.

 

Keep an eye out for more details on the Window/Banner/Door contest and
all of the other events during Homecoming week!
