Coming off a 41-39 triple overtime win on Saturday against Southeastern
Oklahoma State, Texas A&M-Commerce quarterback Terry Mayo (Greensboro,
NC/Reedley JC) and kicker Chris Quiroga (Simi Valley, Calif./Moorpark JC)
earned weekly recognition from the Lone Star Conference.

For the second time in 2007, Mayo earned North Division Offensive Player of
the Week honors. He shared the honor this week with Ryan O'Hara of Central
Oklahoma. In Saturday's game against the Savage Storm, came off the bench
and had a hand in all five touchdowns in the Lions¹ 41-39 triple overtime
win over Southeastern Oklahoma. He went on to throw for 240 yards and three
touchdowns, completing 18 of 26 passes as well as two rushing touchdowns.
The three touchdowns are the most by an A&M-Commerce quarterback since Trent
Miller threw for three in the Lions¹ other win in 2007 against Texas
A&M-Kingsville.

For the fourth-straight week, the Lions bring home the North Division
Special Teams Player of the Week as Chris Quiroga earns his first weekly
conference honor. The Simi Valley, California native made four extra points
and two field goals in the Lions¹ 41-39 triple overtime win over
Southeastern Oklahoma State. He also made a season-long 41-yard field goal
in the win and for the season he is 17-for-18 on extra points and
three-for-four on field goals.

The Lions are home for their next two games, starting with a 2 pm tilt
against Northeastern State on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
