[Students] LAST THREE PERFORMANCES OF OUR TOWN

[Joan Lawrence]

Subject: LAST THREE PERFORMANCES OF OUR TOWN

Performances of OUR TOWN, by Thornton Wilder, continue
Thursday, May 3rd, through Saturday, May 5th, at 8:00 PM.
The May 5th performance is a special fund-raiser for
scholarships in honor of faculty and friends lost to cancer.
Wilder's Pulitzer Prize winning play takes a heart-warming
look at American life. Audiences will find parallels with
their own lives, regardless of what town they call home.
Wilder strips the stage of all but the necessary elements of
story telling, allowing direct connection with the
characters. Never before or since has narration been used so
effectively on stage. OUR TOWN has moments of laughter,
tinged by sorrow and grief, eased by joy. If you see only
one American play in your lifetime, this should be it.

The Play will run Thursday May the third through Saturday
May the fifth.
