[Students] Annual FERPA Notification

Dear Student,

 

I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with information that
is mandated by the Department of Education.  The Department of Education
mandates that the University notify students annually about the Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended.  

 

The essence of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of
1974, as amended is to protect the students' right to inspect and review
information contained in their student records, to protect disclosure of
student information, and provide a process for students who wish to withhold
directory information. The attached student pamphlet will provide you with
detailed information regarding FERPA, and hard copies are available in our
office.   FERPA information can also be found on our web site at
