Good morning,
OGC has asked us to complete the following questionnaire:
We are trying to determine whether the SSC contracts are being interpreted consistently in some key areas across the System. Could you please verify whether or not each of the following is true at your university:
* If the cost of an activity within the scope of work exceeds the cost threshold (currently $5,400), SSC is responsible for the first $5,400 and the university is responsible for the amount by which it exceeds $5,400. There is not some subset of services that are within the scope of work but for which the university is responsible for all costs (in addition to the base fee). "Within the scope of work" excludes special projects and deferred maintenance.
* SSC is responsible for the cost of supplies required to provide the services within the scope of work (subject to the $5,400 threshold).
* The cost of work within the scope of work is SSC's responsibility (again, subject to the $5,400 threshold) regardless of whether the work is performed by SSC employees or outside contractors.
* The university has access to SSC's electronic work order system
* New buildings are added to the scope of work and fee at the premises addition/deletion rates provided in the exhibit to the contract
* Buildings that are taken out of service (to be renovated, torn down, etc.) are removed from the scope of work at the premises addition/deletion rates provided in the exhibit
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss.
Let Warren know if you have any questions or concerns about the bulleted items.
Thanks!
