  This morning, I continued to help with the TLC plates from the fractions we collected yesterday.  In the afternoon, I helped Johnathan set up and run his reaction to make tetraphenyl porphryn.  The reaction heated very slowly, but by 4:30 we had finished.  Then we set it in an ice bath to let it cool.  After crystallization and some problems, we finally moved to filtration by a glass-sintered funnel.  We finally finished cleaning up and filtration by about 8:45.
