[phas-grad] [phas-dept] Physics and Astronomy Public Talks next week

As a part of an NSF-funded project in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, we will have the following two visitors next week. You are welcome to attend any of their activities if your schedule permits.

(1) Tuesday: Justin Walk (B.S. Physics, TAMUC), a medical physicist at Texas Oncology in Paris, Texas, will
(a) present a talk on "Introduction to Medical Physics and the Light Matter Reactions that Govern Radiation Imaging, Therapy, and Shielding", 9:30-10:45am, in Science 103,
(b) meet the NSF scholarship recipients at Starbuck coffee in the library from 11-12noon.

(a) give a lecture on nuclear shell model in Science 103 from 9:30-10:45am,
(b) meet the NSF scholarship recipients at Starbuck coffee in the library from 11-12noon.
(c) speak about Science Fiction and Physics, in Science 146 from 12:30-1:00pm
(d) give a Physics colloquium on "The anatomy of atomic nuclei" at 4-5pm in Science 127
