[phas-faculty_staff_others] FW: External Employment Form

Good morning everyone,

In case you were unaware or have forgotten, the university requires you to fill out the attached form if you are a full-time employee (staff or faculty) and you have a second job or side gig outside of the university.

This rule does *not* apply to adjunct faculty.

This rule does *not* apply to honoraria such as those for reviewing funding proposals or giving talks at a scientific conference.

This rule *does* apply to contract work such as driving for Uber, running a business, tutoring or teaching for businesses or other schools, consulting work, etc.

If you are unsure, fill the form out.   The form does not trigger any sort of review or investigation.  If we are ever audited, not having a form on file would trigger disciplinary action up to and including a loss of position.
