[phas-faculty_staff_others] Spring Syllabi due Dec 22

Hi folks,

Some important updates and reminders from the dean and provost regarding spring syllabi:

*         Please submit your syllabi to Lydia (Lydia.Dale at tamuc.edu<mailto:Lydia.Dale at tamuc.edu>) before Dec 22 so they can be uploaded by the legal deadline of January 3.

*         Please use the updated syllabus template attached to this email. It includes the required wording for all syllabus statements and meets federal/state laws for student accessibility.  (If you've already sent in your syllabi, don't worry about this.)

*         If your course has a final exam, it must be given during the assigned time in the attached schedule.  (Online classes should be given a reasonable time range for online exams during this week)

o   NO final exams are permitted before Saturday, May 4.

*         Wed May 1, Thurs May 2, and Fri May 3 are designated study days for students.

o   NO tests, exams, assignments, classes, other graded activities, extra credit opportunities, or official functions (like departmental parties or award ceremonies) may be scheduled during those three days.  Non-required exam study sessions may be held.
