Dear Dr. Wood,
The College of Engineering at UNT invites your students to join us for UNT College of Engineering Graduate Preview on November 11, 2016 from 11am to 4pm. We are holding our Graduate Preview to inform potential PhD students about the academic, funding, and research opportunities available in the College of Engineering at UNT. The University of North Texas is located in Denton, Texas, which is just 40 miles north of the DFW metroplex. UNT is a student-focused, public, research university; in fact, we were recently named a tier one research university<https://news.unt.edu/news-releases/carnegie-classification-lists-unt-among-tier-one-research-universities-latest-report>. Our research opportunities, state-of-the-art facilities, and student-focused attitudes make us a great option for students seeking PhDs.
At the UNT College of Engineering Graduate Preview, students will visit with our faculty, tour our labs, speak with current students, and get a feel for what it is like to be a PhD student in our Computer Science and Engineering<http://computerscience.engineering.unt.edu/>, Electrical Engineering<https://engineering.unt.edu/electrical/>, Materials Science and Engineering<http://engineering.unt.edu/materials/front>, or Mechanical and Energy Engineering<http://engineering.unt.edu/mechanicalandenergy/> programs.
We know there are expenses for attending Graduate Preview, so students who register to attend by October 26th will be considered for travel funding to cover their expenses. Additionally, we will waive our $75 application fee for students who attend the event. To attend, students shouldregister online<http://engineering.unt.edu/fall-2016-graduate-preview> by November 4, 2016.
Please pass this information along to any faculty, students, or staff who would benefit from knowing about Graduate Preview. If you have any questions, please contact me at (940)369-8139 or Kathryn.Beasley at unt.edu<mailto:Kathryn.Beasley at unt.edu>.
We hope to see your students at College of Engineering Graduate Preview!
Sincerely,
Kathryn Beasley
