Hi everyone,

Tomorrow's colloquium speaker is Dr. Dave Sand of Texas Tech, who I've known for 11 or 12 years now. He's a good guy and a good scientist. His specialty is high-energy astrophysical events, like novae and supernovae.

If you'd like to meet with Dave, please let me know what time would work best. He'll arrive tomorrow around 9:30 and stay through dinner.

In particular, any students who might be interested in Texas Tech's graduate program in physics are encouraged to find a time to talk with him, whether one on one or as a group.

Thanks,
Kurtis
