[phas-dept] Meetings with this week's colloquium speaker.

Tue Nov 4 10:32:15 CST 2014

Howdy folks,

Our colloquium speaker this week is Dr. Jennifer Marshall, an astronomer and instrumentalist from A&M College Station. She's working on building instruments for the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Survey and designing instruments for the Giant Magellan Telescope, a 24.5-m diameter telescope in which the entire A&M system is a partner. Her colloquium will be on the GMT instruments.

All undergraduate and graduate students are invited to meet with her at 3pm on Thursday (probably room 127) for snacks and a discussion about research and grad school opportunities at College Station, please come!!

She will be arriving around noon on Thursday and staying until Friday at 10am. If you would like to meet with her, please let me know the best times so I can build up a schedule.

Thanks,
Kurtis
