[phas-dept] Society of Physics Students Meeting TODAY, THURSDAY, 3PM in SCI 127

[Kurtis Williams]

Hello everyone,

The SPS will have our fall organizational meeting today, Thursday, Jan 16 at 3pm in Science 127. We will finish before the physics colloquium and hopefully by 3:30ish. All people (undergrad, grad, postdocs, faculty) are invited to join if you are interested in participating in SPS.

If you cannot make it and want to be affiliated with SPS, that's okay. The urgent order of business is that we need volunteers to help with the planetarium's grand reopening festivities on the evening of Friday, January 31. If you will not be at today's meeting but are willing to help out on the 31st, please email back quickly.

Other items on the agenda will be setting up regular meeting times and planning activities for this semester.

SPS Officers, we will need to meet for about 10 or 15 minutes after the general meeting. Officers include those elected last fall and any who volunteered for specific positions. Sigma Pi Sigma members are invited to this as ex officio SPS officers.
