[phas-dept] REU Summer Internships

[Matt Wood]

Students:

If you haven't applied for REU summer internships, it's not too late. REU is Research Experiences for Undergraduates, and it is funded by the National Science Foundation. Typically stipends are good (~$4500-$5000), travel covered, housing covered, and you get to do research all summer to get you excited about your coursework and your future career!

Astronomy REU programs: https://www.nsf.gov/crssprgm/reu/list_result.jsp?unitid=5045

Give it a shot. Some deadlines have already passed, but many programs are still accepting applications.

Have a good weekend,
Matt
