Hi everyone,
Sigma Pi Sigma is the national physics honor society. Its purpose is "to honor outstanding scholarship in physics; to encourage interest in physics among students at all levels; to promote an attitude of service of its members towards their fellow students, colleagues, and the public; to provide a fellowship of persons who have excelled in physics.
Members of Sigma Pi Sigma receive official tokens of membership at an induction ceremony this April, lifetime membership in the national society, a free year of membership in the national Society of Physics Students, regular opportunities to network with peers and to share their experiences with younger members of the community, a complementary subscription to Radiations Magazine, and access to group insurance plans. In addition, membership in national honor societies often has a very positive impact on resumes and CVs.
If you are interested in joining, please make sure you meet the following membership requirements, read the selection process and timeline below, fill out the attached membership application, and give it to Dr. Williams by February 28.
Membership application is open to all who meet the following requirements:

* Shall have completed at least three courses in physics, each of at least three credit hours, that may be credited toward a physics major.
All applications meeting the above criteria will be considered for membership by a committee comprised of active members of Sigma Pi Sigma, who may also consider the merit of each applicant under the Sigma Pi Sigma mission of honor, encouragement, service, and fellowship.
