All new international students are encouraged to contact their academic department or academic advisor to discuss their first semester courses and any pre-requisite requirements with their academic department. For more information and links to contact information please review page 13 and 14 of our guidebook at www.tamuc.edu/guidebook<http://www.tamuc.edu/guidebook>. The ISSS also provided general advising handouts to many students with their I-20. Be sure to review this information if you received one with your I-20.

Computer Science and Computational Science graduate students have the option to take a pre-requisite placement quiz prior to the International Student Orientation. For more information about the requirements go to http://www.tamuc.edu/academics/colleges/scienceEngineeringAgriculture/departments/computerScienceInformationSystems/degreePrograms/New%20Students/default.aspx#NewStudents. Please note that the quiz will be scheduled through the university Testing Center and there is a fee for the quiz. Students may contact the CSCI department through the guidebook link above.

As a reminder, new F-1 and J-1 international students have a registration hold on their student account. This registration hold from the ISSS will be lifted once a student has completed check-in in person with the ISSS. For more information go to www.tamuc.eduintlorientation<http://www.tamuc.eduintlorientation>.
