New international students may enter the U.S. up to 30 days prior to their I-20 program start date (line 5 of the I-20). For new international students to A&M-Commerce the I-20 program start date is January 14, 2015 and new students will need to arrive prior to this date to complete check-in with an International Student Advisor in person and attend International Student Orientation.

New international students will be able to register for courses once they complete check-in in person in the ISSO in Halladay 104.

* The ISSO has placed a registration hold that will prevent course registration until the new student has completed check-in in person. Once a student has checked-in their registration hold will be removed.

* PLEASE NOTE that check in will be by appointment and students will schedule their appointment online beginning early December. For more information go to http://bit.ly/1x1NnDq.

While students may arrive up to 30 days prior to their I-20 program start date (January 14, 2015) students will need to consider their housing, transportation, etc...if they chose to arrive early:

* The ISSO provides limited airport shuttle service starting Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

* The university DOES NOT provide temporary housing for students. Students who plan to live in campus housing MAY be able to move in earlier but they must contact the ISSO.

* An early check-in will be conducted December 15, 2014 through December 19, 2014 and will resume on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 up until Tuesday, January 13,2015.

* Check-in will be by appointment so students will need to coordinate their arrival according to this and the appointment schedule will open in late November early December.

* Students registration hold from the ISSO will only be lifted once the student has completed check-in in person in the ISSO in Halladay 104.

Please keep these things in mind as you plan your travel itinerary to A&M-Commerce.
