[NewIntlStudents] Pre-arrival information to help you from A&M-Commerce

[New International Students]

Hello 

 

The International Student Services Office (ISSO) at Texas A&M
University-Commerce is looking forward to meeting all of you next week
when you arrive in Commerce.  I wanted to provide some important
information for next week and if you have any questions or concerns you
may email intl.stu at tamuc.edu or call 903-886-5097.  

 

The ISSO has developed a number of pre-arrival presentations to help
students prepare for their studies at A&M-Commerce.  These presentations
are at

orientation-sessions-for-new-students.aspx.  We hope that these
presentations will help students be more aware as they prepare for their
studies here and the topics discussed are listed below:

*         I-20 and visa process, SEVIS I-901 fee, navigating through
port of entry, and the I-94

*         Orientation, check-in, and course registration

*         Bacterial meningitis vaccination and health insurance
requirements

*         On and off-campus employment, career services on-campus,
scholarships, and student account/fee payments

*         Transfer process for students who are currently in the U.S.
studying at another school or on OPT

 

We also have some handouts on our website that provide information
related to myLEO at
http://www.tamuc.edu/CampusLife/CampusServices/internationalStudentServi
ces/new-students/myleo.aspx.  These handouts provide basic information
for navigating myLEO, how to register for classes through myLEO, and
reviewing your tuition and fees, making payment for tuition and fees,
and setting up the installment/payment plan.  We will also discuss this
information at the international student orientation on Thursday, May
29.
