[NewIntlStudents] reminders

[New International Students]

The ISSO New Student Scholarship application is due NO LATER than 12pm
noon on Wednesday, August 25 in Halladay 104.  Students who complete
check-in before 11am on Wednesday, August 25 will be given an
application.  APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN PERSON AT THE ISSO IN
HALLADAY 104.  No fax or email applications will be accepted.  

 

International student orientation is on Thursday, August 26 and will
begin at 8:30am and will end around 3-3:15pm.  After orientation we will
escort students to their academic department.  It is recommended you
arrive no later than 8:15am to sign in and receive your packet.  DO NOT
BE LATE!  Orientation will be located in the Performing Arts Center
(PAC) and is building #18 on the map at
http://web.tamu-commerce.edu/aboutUs/contactUs/campusMapDirections/map/m
ap.pdf.  There is a lake, Gee Lake, located in front of the PAC.

 

Refreshments will be provided in the morning and a FREE lunch with
university administration and faculty/staff will be provided.  There
will be a vegetarian option for students with special dietary needs.  

 

Check-in will be from 9-11am and 2-4pm on Wednesday, August 24 and we
will ONLY check students in during these times regardless of any
students remaining to check-in.
