[MusicEvents] Symphonic and Concert Bands Present "Pound Notes: and Original Folk Tunes"

Greetings from the Music Building,

The Symphonic and Concert Bands would like to invite you to their upcoming program "Pound Notes: and Original Folk Tunes".  The ensembles are thoroughly enjoying their exploration of traditional band literature composed by the giants of the wind band repertoire.  The concert features Children's March: O'er the Hills and Far Away, by Percy Grainger, A Moorside Shuite, by Gustav Holst, and English Folk Song Suite, by Ralph Vaughan Williams, among many others.  We hope you can join us for this delightful evening of British and other folk music written for and adapted for wind band.

The program will be held this Thursday, February 23rd, at 7:30 PM, at the Jack and Lou Finney Concert Hall in the Music Building.  Light refreshments will be provided following the performance and admission is free.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday evening!
