[MusicEvents] REMINDER...."Color of Sound" performance

Please join us Monday, September 10th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for the
"Color of Sound" in the Finney Concert Hall, Department of Music!  The
concert is free and open to the public.  See the attached flyer for
performers. 

 

 

Franz Schubert wrote his C-major Quintet just weeks before dying at 31.
Widely regarded as one of his greatest pieces of music, the "two cello"
quintet is an astonishing portrait of human life by a young man about to
leave the world, conveying strength, fear, the longing for peace,
defiance, and joy. Mount Vernon Music and Texas A&M
University-Commerce's The Color of Sound proudly present this Romantic
masterwork along with a brilliant piece by Joseph Haydn, the Classical
Era's "father of the string quartet." Join us for Heavenly String Sounds
on Monday, September 10 at 4 PM in Finney Concert Hall at Texas A&M
