Widely regarded as one of his greatest pieces of music, the "two cello" quintet is an astonishing portrait of human life by a young man about to leave the world, conveying strength, fear, the longing for peace, defiance, and joy. Mount Vernon Music and Texas A&M University-Commerce's The Color of Sound proudly present this Romantic masterwork along with a brilliant piece by Joseph Haydn, the Classical Era's "father of the string quartet."
