[MSW] FW: Comprehensive Exam - Summer

Fun Facts about the Comprehensive Exam that is taken your LAST semester:


  *   The exam is 1 hr. 45 min. long via zoom with 90 questions.
  *   Brian Brumley (proctor) will provide you with a code through Zoom to get onto the test the morning of the exam.
  *   If you are disconnected due to technology disruption, you will be provided a one-time reentry code from Brian.Brumley at tamuc.edu<mailto:Brian.Brumley at tamuc.edu> that will allow you to re-enter the exam and begin where you left off.
  *   Do not have other windows open while you are taking the exam. This will create a disruption with the software.
  *   Once you enter the exam, do not exit it until you are finished.  If you click exit or submit, you will not be allowed to re-enter.
  *   Students are required to pass the exam with a 70 or greater to be considered for graduation.
  *   Students are provided two opportunities for exam completion – you can petition for a third attempt the following semester, delaying graduation. Students who do not pass it on their 3rd attempt, will NOT receive their degree.
  *   The books are available in the Commerce library and at https://swes.net/shop/ for $149.00 (Version 10) for the set.  The titles of the two books are 1) Social Work Examination Services (SWES) Comprehensive Study Guide & Practice Questions: Comprehensive Study Guide (Masters, Clinical, Adv. Generalist) Version 10. This study guide comes in a set of 3 volumes. However, the questions for the Comprehensive Exam are randomly drawn from Volume 2 only.

Volume 1: Test-Taking Strategy, approach to answering exam questions, detailed content notes.
Volume 2: Practice questions divided by content area. Approx 900 questions.
Volume 3: Practice Tests: Four 170 Question practice tests.
