[Journalism] Scholarship Opportunity!

[Kimberly Cook]

IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT!

Let me remind all Journalism Division current majors in the sequences of
news and public relations that by agreement with the Scholarship Office
we have re-opened for a limited period applications for scholarship
support from the Beverly and Staley McBrayer endowment.

This limited opportunity will close August 10th, 2012 at 5
p.m. Any awards will be at the discretion of the Journalism Division
faculty.

Decisions will be made the week of August 13, 2012. Ms. Maria
Ramos has told me that the award can be made applicable for the fall
semester.

If interested, apply through the Scholarship Office - NOT
DIRECTLY WITH DR. BRIDGES OR MR. STEWART -- with the required materials.
That office will forward eligible names of students to Dr. Bridges for
review by the journalism faculty.

This is an opportunity for possible support. But, understand
an award is not guaranteed to any student. But it would not "hurt", as
they say, to apply. So, if you missed the last deadline, wish you had
applied and would like to apply, DO SO NOW.

Contact me if you have questions. I will try to help.

-Dr. Bridges (903-886-5229 and leave a message if need be)
