[Journalism] Free Resource

[Brandy Martin]

 Journalism students,

The New York Times Company has dropped its paid TimesSelect Service and made
most of its web site and archives free. The company has charged a fee for
online access to some columnists.

The decision makes it easier for you to use the Times in writing,
researching and for personal use. The Times will make available for free
the past 20 years of its archives and its archives from 1851 to 1922. For
archival material between 1923 and 1986 there will be a charge.

This is a tremendous resource for students in journalism and related field.
