[Intl-stu] Cancellation of All Classes Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30

[International Students]

Dear International Students:

In light of the recent occurrence in Greenville, TX during the Homecoming Weekend, the Office of International Programs (OIP) is reaching out to you for additional emotional support. Although you may not have been at the event where the shootings occurred, you may have peers who were there and who have been affected. We hold all affected and their families in our thoughts. Please continue to reach out to the Counseling Services in Halladay for assistance as the President's email has stated.

This may be a good time to reach out to your parents abroad to allay their fears that you are okay. If anyone needs someone to talk to aside from the Counseling Services, please remember that the OIP is here for you. The entire OIP staff is on campus today and the office will be open tomorrow. Feel free to visit and talk with us. We are here for your academic, emotional, physical and psychological well-being. Please continue to stay safe during these days when classes are cancelled. Feel free to contact us whichever way you choose.
