Subject: [Intl-stu] FW: Travel Signature Week (this week) November 28 to December 2
The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) will host a Travel Signature Week from November 28 through December 2 from 1:30pm-4pm each day. We will also host travel information sessions for students on November 28 and December 1 at 4pm IN PERSON in BA 221 and ONLINE at http://connect.tamuc.edu/issstravel/.
Students planning to travel outside the U.S. over the semester break may visit the ISSS in Halladay 104 during the Travel Signature Week between 1:30pm-4pm to receive a travel signature while they wait. The travel signature weeks are the only times the ISSS will process travel signature requests while students wait. Any travel signature requests received outside of the dedicated travel signature weeks will be processed within the normal ISSS processing time. We do not consider requests to expedite a travel signature request.
The travel signature is on the 2nd page of the I-20 and is valid for 12 months from the date of the signature on the 2nd page for re-entry. A travel signature is not required to DEPART the U.S. but a valid travel signature (within past 12 months) is required to RE-ENTER the U.S. For more information go to ISSS Travel Resources<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/travelinformation.aspx>. Below are the documents required for a travel signature request:
* Travel Signature Request Form<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/documents/TravelSignatureRequestFormSp16.pdf>
* Copy of passport, visa and I-94
AFTERNOON ADVISING HOURS WILL BE SUSPENDED THIS WEEK DUE TO THE TRAVEL SIGNATURE WEEK.
