As a reminder, F-1 and J-1 international students are not required to enroll in courses for the summer semester by the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) except when the summer semester is a student's first semester enrolled in their academic program at A&M-Commerce. The summer is the recognized vacation for A&M-Commerce international students and students may either not enroll in courses, enroll in a mix of face to face and online courses, or enroll in all online courses. Students may also remain in the U.S. or travel outside the U.S. during the summer. For more information about SEVP's enrollment requirements please go to http://bit.ly/1akUdOG.
Students traveling within the U.S. are encouraged to carry their I-20, passport, and visa with them at all times. While international students are not generally required to show their immigration documents while traveling within the U.S. it is best practice to always keep them with you.
The Office of International Student & Scholars Services (ISSS)will be open during our normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm during the summer semester. The only time the ISSS will close is for a recognized university holiday and on rare occasion due to a scheduled event or activity.
