The ISSO will host a trip to Austin, TX for all current international students at A&M-Commerce the weekend before Thanksgiving. Austin offers great historical destinations including the state capitol and the Bullock Texas State History Museum, world renown live music, a great restaurant scene, and very unique culture that has spawned the “Keep Austin Weird” slogan. For more information about visiting Austin go to http://www.austintexas.org/visit/.

We will depart on Friday, November 22 tentatively at 8:30am and we will return on Sunday, November 24 tentatively by 8pm. The cost for the trip is $160 which includes a two night stay at the premier Hilton Austin in downtown Austin, TX and transportation to and from Austin. For more information about the hotel please go to http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/texas/hilton-austin-AUSCVHH/index.html. There will be four students per room (2 queen beds) and the hotel does not provide a free breakfast but there are restaurants close to the hotel. The ISSO will also consider stopping at a grocery store on the way to Austin to allow students to purchase breakfast items.

The city of Austin has great public transportation so students may travel around to different destinations during their visit. On the return trip Sunday we will stop at the Round Rock Premium Outlets for students to shop. For information about the mall go to http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=73.

Students may come to the ISSO to sign-up in person and pay the $160 registration fee. The $160 is non-refundable/non-transferable once you have signed up. Room assignments are set at sign-up and cannot be changed. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, November 1. Seating is very limited for this trip so don’t wait to sign up. Room assignments are set at sign up so if you would like to room with your friends then it is recommended you sign up together.

All students who register for the trip will be required to attend an information session. The ISSO will offer three information sessions for students to choose from. Below are the dates and times for the information sessions. Students with class or work conflicts will need to notify the ISSO as soon as possible:

	· Monday, October 28 at 4pm in BA221

	· Tuesday, October 29 at 4pm in BA221
