[Intl-stu] Seats still available for Galveston Island!

The ISSO is hosting a trip for all international students to Galveston
Island from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21.  All A&M-Commerce
international students are invited to attend the trip.  The cost for the
trip is $100 cash or money order only.  The $100 includes two night stay
(4 students per room)at La Quinta Inn Galveston East Beach across from
the beach and transportation to Galveston and return to Commerce.  The
hotel will provide free breakfast and wifi.  Galveston Island also has
reliable public transportation to get around the island.    

 

Students may sign up for the trip in person only at the ISSO in Halladay
104 beginning Thursday, June 20.  No phone calls, emails, or friends
signing up friends.  The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, July 10.
Full payment ($100) is required when you sign-up and is
non-refundable/non-transferable after July 10.  The $100 cost covers two
night hotel stay (4 students per room) and transportation to Galveston
and return to Commerce.  The first student to come to the ISSO to sign
up will have their trip paid for by the ISSO.  Seating is limited for
the trip.  

 

Galveston Island provides many attractions including extensive beaches,
Pleasure Pier Amusement Park at 
www.galveston.com/galvestonislandandhistoricpleasurepier, Moody Gardens
at www.galveston.com/moodygardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark at 
www.galveston.com/schlitterbahnwaterpark, and other attractions that may
be found at www.galveston.com.  Some attractions may require an
admission price that is not included with the $100 cost for the trip.
The tentative schedule will include a stop at a mall on the return trip
on Sunday and we anticipate returning to Commerce by 8pm on Sunday.  

 

We will depart from the Performing Arts Center/Science Building parking
lot by Gee Lake at 10am on Friday, July 19 and plan to return to
Commerce by Sunday, July 21 at 8pm.  For more information you may
