[Intl-stu] Practical Training Workshop schedule

[International Students]

The schedule for Practical Training Workshops this spring semester are
posted on the ISSO website at

The first Curricular Practical Training workshop will be this Friday,
January 18, at 10am in BA256.  The next CPT workshops will be the first
Friday of each month, February, March, and April.  Curricular Practical
Training (CPT) allows students in research and internship courses to
gain paid work experience outside the classroom. To be eligible for CPT,
you must be enrolled for at least one academic year at A&M-Commerce
(fall/spring). 

 

The first of Optional Practical Training workshops will be Wednesday,
January 23 at 3:30pm in BA221 and Thursday, January 24 at 2pm in BA221.
All F-1 international students are eligible for 12-months of employment
after the completion of their degree at each education level.  Remember
that students are required to attend a workshop in their final semester
prior to being eligible to apply for OPT with the ISSO.

 

For students who will finish their degree (graduate) this spring
semester, the ISSO will begin seeing students for OPT appointments
tentatively on Monday, February 11.
