[Intl-stu] Students with graduate assistantships- insurance reminder

[International Students]

Just a reminder, if you are an international student with a full-time
graduate assistantship you need to provide your proof of your GA to the
ISSO immediately to avoid having the insurance charge placed on your
account.  Students with full-time assistantships are exempted from the
mandatory insurance enrollment with the A&M System insurance provider.

Students will need to submit a letter/email to the ISSO from their
on-campus employer confirming their GA position and the Human Resource
office confirming their insurance effective date.  Failure to submit
this information by August 29 will result in your student account being
charged the $297 insurance fee.

 

Also, if you have a full-time graduate assistantship this fall semester
and will enroll in less than a full course of study (minimum 9 semester
credit hours) please be sure to submit the Report Less Than Required
Hours form at  http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp
prior to August 29.
