The insurance premium for the fall will be $297 and will be charged to
all international student accounts within the first 2 weeks of classes
unless the student meets one of the exemptions (insurance waivers)
below. REPORTING YOUR EXEMPTION ELIGIBILITY BY AUGUST 29 IS IMPORTANT
TO PREVENT THE INSURANCE CHARGE FROM BEING POSTED ON YOUR ACCOUNT. You
may visit www.tamuinsurance.com for more information or open the
attached insurance brochure. The new plan is called the A&M 200K
International Student Insurance Plan.

The $297 premium charge is a separate fee from your tuition and fees and
this fee MUST be paid by the 20th day of classes. If you make a payment
through your myLeo please contact the Financial Services office
immediately to have them apply your payment to the insurance charge. If
you make a payment in person or over the phone please let the cashier
(Financial Services) know the payment is for your insurance charge.

All F-1 and J-1 international students are automatically enrolled in
A&M 200K International Student Insurance Plan unless they meet one of
the exemptions (waiver) below. Students that meet one of the following
exemptions below will need to submit a waiver form. Waiver forms may be
found at http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/insurance.asp or at
the ISSO. PLEASE NOTE: Failure to submit the required documentation as

STUDENT ACCOUNT BEING CHARGED.

2. Student with government/private scholarship that includes
medical and evacuation/repatriation insurance that meets A&M's minimum
coverage requirements

insurance coverage meets A&M's minimum coverage requirements. For the
insurance coverage minimums required by A&M please click here

- If you have a spouse who is legally employed in the U.S. and
you are covered under their insurance you will be required to provide a
detailed report of the insurance coverage minimums to the ISSO to
confirm the coverage will meet A&M requirements before the waiver will
be considered. The ISSO will not contact your company to verify the
coverage minimums. For the insurance coverage minimums required by A&M
please click here
