If you are GRADUATING SUMMER 2010 and have not applied for Optional
Practical Training (OPT) please contact the International Student
Services office (ISSO) as soon as possible. Please visit
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/offcampus_employment.asp for
more information on OPT.
Students who are GRADUATING SUMMER 2010 and DO NOT plan on applying for
OPT need to remember that your program end date on your I-20 will be the
end of the summer 2010 semester, August 12, 2010. You will have a 60
day grace period after August 12, 2010 to either:
* Leave the United States
* Apply for a change of visa status
* Apply for, be accepted to, and have your SEVIS record and I-20
transferred to another school (if you do not study at A&M-Commerce) by
the end of the 60 day period. You will need to begin your new academic
program in the fall semester.
