If you are assisting new international students that are arriving this
semester, please understand that the check-in process for orientation
(immigration documents and insurance) has changed.

New international students are STRONGLY encouraged to check-in with the
ISSO PRIOR to international orientation on Thursday, January 15 to
eliminate the need to check-in in the afternoon part of orientation.
The reason for this change is to eliminate the need for new
international students to stand in line all afternoon of orientation to
check-in with Brenda or I. If an international student attends an early
check-in session with the ISSO prior to orientation, IT IS NOT NECESSARY
FOR THEM TO ATTEND CHECK-IN IN THE AFTERNOON OF ORIENTATION AS HAS BEEN
THE CASE IN THE PAST. Below is a list of the required documents for
check-in and all original immigration documents are required at
check-in:

*	Copy of passport, visa, and both sides of I-94 (please be sure
the copy shows port of entry stamp)
*	Copy of 1st and 3rd page of your I-20 (please be sure the copy
shows port of entry stamp)

*	Permanent address in home country
*	Local physical address (room number of residence hall or street
address, not a PO Box)
*	Emergency contact information (friend or relative in US and in
your home country)

*	Medical/repatriation insurance proof (please see insurance
information below)

We have been checking students in since last Wednesday and will be
checking students in Tuesday, January 13, from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
only and Wednesday, January 14, from 9am-12pm only at the ISSO. PLEASE
INFORM ANY NEW STUDENTS YOU HAVE BEEN ASSISTING OF THIS CHANGE AND
ENCOURAGE THEM TO CHECK-IN EARLY!
