[International Students]

If you are graduating this Fall 2009 semester and you only have one
course left to complete your academic program, remember that this course
must be a face to face or web enhanced "E" course.  If you only register
for one (1) course in your final semester this course CANNOT be an
online "W" course.  No exceptions!  If you have an issue with course
availability please contact your academic department to discuss this
requirement and your options.

 

Also, if Fall is your last semester and you will be registering for less
than a full course of study please be sure to complete the Report Less
Than Required Hours form at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp before the
beginning of the fall semester.  

 

Also, if you will be graduating in the Fall semester and plan to apply
for Optional Practical Training (OPT) employment please remember that
students who began their academic program in Fall 2008 or after (Spring
2009, etc...) are required to attend an OPT workshop before they can
apply for OPT.  We will offer two workshops a month at different times
to accommodate student schedules and will announce the OPT Workshop
schedule at the beginning of the Fall semester.  

 

The ISSO will also be sponsoring workshops with the Writing Center,
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/litlang/WritingCenter/faq.asp, to provide
helpful information to international students on writing "A" papers and
with Career Services,
http://web.tamu-commerce.edu/studentLife/campusServices/careerDevelopmen
t/default.aspx, to help students with their job search skills for
on-campus employment and off-campus employment once they graduate.  We
will announce the dates of these workshops at the beginning of the Fall
semester.
