We have been notified that students outside North and South America may
have problems accessing the library database from their home country.
This only applies to students who attempt to access the library database
from their home country and their home country is outside North and
South America. Please make note of this for when you travel to your
home country. Below are the instructions for correcting any problems.
Please contact Scott Lancaster at the library at 903-886-5725 or CTIS at
903-886-6000 for any questions or concerns.
This is the information that was sent to me to use in accessing the
library databases from countries outside North and South America:
What can distance students in those countries outside North and South
America do:
* They must contact CTIS at the helpdesk via phone
(903-468-6000) or email (HelpDesk at tamu-commerce.edu)).
* Once the student is checked out they are sent a link to get
the vpn software which lets them authenticate and use the databases.
* CTIS says is takes about 1 day for all the checking, etc. to
get done.
