[Intl-stu] OPT Workshops

International Students intl-stu at TAMU-Commerce.edu
Tue Apr 22 08:55:28 CDT 2008

What are the changes regarding 12-month OPT? What if I am unemployed
for part of my OPT period? Can I keep working beyond my initial OPT
period? What is E-Veriify? Who is eligible for the OPT extension?
When is the best semester to graduate? What if my employer has filed an
H1-B petition on my behalf? Is the world really round?

I know these are questions that many of you have been pondering since
the OPT changes have taken effect. Our office has already heard some of
the incorrect information going around so please do not depend upon the
advice of well meaning friends! We have two more workshops scheduled
for Wednesday, April 23 from 2:00-4:00 and Friday and April 25 from
1:00-3:00 in BA 340. Come out to the workshops this week to hear for
yourself the changes that are taking place with OPT and the H1-B Gap.

If you plan to attend a workshop please email your name, CWID#, and the
workshop you will attend to Brenda_Brand at tamu-commerce.edu.
