Hello Grad Faculty!

The application period for the Graduate School's Thesis & Dissertation Summer Fellowship is open! If you know of a thesis or dissertation student who is finishing his or her thesis or dissertation this summer or, at the latest, this fall, please encourage them to apply for this fellowship.

Each year, as funds are available, graduate students completing a thesis or dissertation are invited to apply for the Thesis/Dissertation Summer Fellowship. A major goal of the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship is to aid students in the final stages of their thesis/dissertation. The fellowships awarded are for students who plan to spend the majority of the summer completing their thesis/dissertation and who plan to graduate at the end of the Summer 2025 (or, at the latest, Fall 2025 semester).

Recipients of this fellowship will receive $1,000 for either the Summer I or Summer II term (based on the term you are enrolled in 518 or 718) of the Summer 2025 semester.. The funds are applied directly to the recipient's student account during the award semester (Summer 2025). If the awardees are receiving financial aid with this award, there may be a need to adjust their total financial aid package.

Applicants for the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship must comply with the following requirements:

* The student must be a thesis or doctoral student in good academic standing at East Texas A&M University.

* Have a thesis or dissertation proposal approved or received by TDS by or before April 11, 2025 (the student must have received a confirmation email from TDS that the proposal submission has been received and is complete).

* The student must be enrolled in at least three (3) hours of a dissertation (718) or thesis (518) course during one of the Summer 2025 terms.

More information and the digital application form are available at the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowships<https://inside.tamuc.edu/academics/graduateSchool/funding/fellowships/summerThesisDissertationFellowship.aspx> webpage (hyperlink provided). Thesis & Dissertation Services must receive applications by 5:00 pm, Friday, April 11, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

If you have any questions, please see the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship<https://inside.tamuc.edu/academics/graduateSchool/funding/fellowships/summerThesisDissertationFellowship.aspx> web page or contact Thesis & Dissertation Services at TDS at tamuc.edu.<mailto:TDS at tamuc.edu.>
