Thanks for writing such thorough minutes. The minutes look fine to me. 
Follow up: I did speak with Lynn Troyka about grad students doing some 
research on the various laws pertaining to Basic Writing   in her summer 07 grad 
course. She feels that the time is too short for a research project to be 
introduced. However, if we explain the data we need, she might be able to help us in 
other ways to collect that data.
