[BSW] Opportunity

[Leanne Farquhar]

Good morning~
My name is Rebecca Lara and I am one of the supervisors with the Region 10 Education Service Center Head Start Program. Our Head Start/Early Head Start program is located in 5 North Texas counties. We partner with rural school districts, where our program is a partnership a school district agrees to provide in their district.
Currently, we have several openings in our Head Start program for Family Resource Specialists, one for our Crandall ISD partnership, one for our Mabank ISD partnership and a Family Support Specialist for our Italy ISD partnership. These positions work directly with families who have qualified for our Head Start program. The children's ages are 3-4 year olds and we service the whole child and family. Much of the work of an FRS/FSS is to provide resources, establish goals for the families and support a family when in crisis. We provide a year long new field staff training and other professional development opportunities.
Attached are the job descriptions for the FRS & FSS positions. This would be a great opportunity for a first time Social Worker to work with families within a school setting.
Please share how we can further pursue posting this job.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for your time and consideration!
~Rebecca
