Hello ladies!

Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program. The Hunt County Children’s Advocacy Center is currently seeking volunteers for clerical office work, 24 hour hotline service, and to provide emotional support for survivors of any type of child/adult abuse including sexual assault. Our program consists of advocating for children and adults that are victims of abuse by the following:

• Attending to our 24 hr. crisis hotline
• Providing hospital accompaniment
• Learning crisis intervention skills
• Provide Preventive Education as an advocate for your community
• Learn all about our business by volunteering as an office assistant to help during our business hours
• Go to court for moral support
• Learn all about intake paperwork and community resources
• Get involved in our fundraisers and/or community events
Some of the program requirements are:
• Turn in your application with 3 references
• Pass a background check
• Complete a 40 hour training
• Commit to at least 6 months if your student, a year for non-students
• Sign up for at least two days out of the month
