<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">As many of you are aware, Dr. Shanan Gibson, Dean of the College of Business, recently joined Embry-Riddle University as the Dean of the David B. O’Maley College of Business.
We thank Dr. Gibson for her many contributions to A&M-Commerce and wish her well as she pursues her academic leadership career. Effective today, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mario Hayek, Associate Professor of Management and Department Head
of Management and Economics, as Interim Dean of A&M-Commerce’s College of Business. I am confident that Dr. Hayek can provide the leadership, collaboration, and advocacy needed to advance the college to meet the needs of our students, faculty and staff, and
the university community at large. As a result of Dr. Hayek’s appointment, Dr. Alex Williams will assume departmental responsibilities, and serve as Interim Department Head of Management and Economics. Dr. Guclu Atinc, Associate Dean of the College of Business,
will continue in his current capacity.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
