<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The spring 2018 Academic Convocation is scheduled for Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. and will be held in the University Auditorium, Ferguson Social Sciences
Building, to honor Dr. Mildred Golden Pryor, Regents Professor and Professor of Management. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Dr. Pryor became the University’s latest recipient of the Regents Professor award which is the highest academic distinction bestowed upon faculty by The Texas A&M University
System Board of Regents. The award is for academic year 2016-2017. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">In order for students, faculty, and staff to attend the Convocation, all classes on the main campus will be canceled at 11 a.m. until noon. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Faculty will participate in full academic regalia and will gather for the processional at approximately 10:45 a.m. in the first floor hallway of the Ferguson Social
Sciences Building. Those unable to attend are to consult their respective dean/director in advance. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
