<p class="MsoNormal">This email is to let you know that last week the Faculty Senate Award Committee requested to all Senators to nominate Faculty for the
<b><u>2015 Spring Awards</u></b>. If you wish to nominate one of your department colleagues, please
<b><u>submit your nomination to your senator</u></b><u>.</u> The deadline for the Senators to submit their nominations to Dr. Jose Lopez, Chair, Faculty Senate Award Committee is
<b>Monday, December 15, 2014 </b>(same as the Fall final grades deadline)<b>.</b> The Faculty Senate Award Committee will gather the nominees’ application materials in January, review nominees’ application packages in February, and present the Award Committee
recommendations to the full Senate during the March meeting (the first Tuesday in March), and submit Faculty Senate recommendations to the Provost on Friday, March 6, 2015.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To facilitate the nomination process, the FS Award Committee will handle nominations using the following guidelines:<o:p></o:p></p>

</span></span></span><![endif]><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Nominations should be received from senators only. That is, a faculty who wish to submit nomination<span style="color:#1F497D">s</span> will have to submit his/her
nominations through his/her senator. The senator will return the ballot to Chair of the FS Awards Committee by the deadline provided above. Nominations from faculty (who are not senators) directly to the Chair/FS Award Committee will not be accepted.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
